Abstract

ESPINOZA MONTES, Francisco Alejandro  and  ORTIZ GUIZADO, Julia Iraida. Teacher perception on the application of the environmental approach in educational institutions of Apurímac, Peru. Conrado [online]. 2021, vol.17, n.79, pp.133-140.  Epub Apr 02, 2021. ISSN 2519-7320.

The objective of the research was to explore the teachers' perception about the application of the environmental approach in the educational institutions of the Apurímac region. Teachers from 44 educational institutions from the provinces of Abancay, Andahuaylas and Chincheros participated in the study. A questionnaire with 32 questions was used on: management components (institutional and pedagogical) and thematic components (education in eco-efficiency, health and risk management), with content validity according to experts' judgment with a concordance test using the Fleiss Kappa coefficient and reliability test according to the Kuder-Richardson coefficient 21. As a result, greater execution of activities and greater achievements are in the management components and less execution and fewer achievements in the thematic components. At the provincial level, the educational institutions of Abancay have greater achievements than those of Andahuaylas and these greater than those of Chincheros, both in the management and thematic components. In conclusion, the educational institutions of Apurímac have managed to implement the main activities of the management components and have progress in the implementation of activities of the thematic components.
