Abstract
PUPO CEJAS, Yumila et al. Reality and perspective of self-care of health in the knowledge society. Conrado [online]. 2021, vol.17, n.79, pp.261-270. Epub Apr 02, 2021. ISSN 2519-7320.
The objective of the research is to support the existence of a pedagogical theory of self-care, from the perspective of health in the knowledge society, with a metacognitive approach, as a challenge in the training of professionals, connoting the relationship between the social and the individual. The reality and perspective of professional training is expressed in the existing knowledge society, based on quality of life and education, as closely linked processes. In this way, the interrelation between the substantive university processes is highlighted, considering teaching as a basic element that through different resources promotes the realization of lifelong learning, the transition from dependence to independence and the integral formation of the personality. To this effect there are related phenomena with particular influences on human health. A pedagogical model of self-care is proposed, which bases the essential relationships of the modeled components, namely: Construction, metacognitive structuring and behavioral instrumentation of the content of self-care health education, specified in a strategy; The objectification - subjectivation unit is specified as a relevant aspect and its conscious - participatory character as an essential quality.
