It is research the score reached by participant in academic seminar as didactic resource to introduce the theoretical building as base of the scientific method, as first step, in three disciplines of the basic cycle in the law career. The objective value of scores given by the academic seminar, as the base to subvert limitations in the processes of teaching -learnings, applying scientific research. From the theoretical perspective was focused and assumed the recognized perspective of the scientific methods to increase and improve the quality of the higher education. Methodologically was applied the quasi - experiment as methodology followed by teachers as an intervention in the educational act. Sample integrated the 407 students that took part in the three courses, in the four academic periods. The results showed the advances obtained from the academic seminar to built theoretical arguments, the creation of bibliographical databases, from scientific journals of impact and their classifications in the software Zotero. Confontation of theory with the practice in the areas of the participants' residence, from observations and interviews, allowed the students to subvert the limitations and to reach favorable results in the learnings. Process was reinforced with the didactic, pedagogical and ethical coherence achieved.
