La tecnología táctil está siendo utilizada en diferentes ámbitos, sin embargo, para la adopción en el ámbito educativo y especialmente en la educación de estudiantes con deficiencias cognitiva, física, autismo, síndrome Down y sordos no se ha empleado a pesar de las múltiples ventajas que tiene. El objetivo es implementar un software basado en pantallas táctil es para la enseñanza de los estudiantes con capacidades especiales de la Unidad educativa de sordos y del Instituto de educación especial de Ibarra, Ecuador con la finalidad de facilitar la enseñanza tanto en las aulas de clase como en el hogar. El software permitirá mejorar el aprendizaje de los estudiantes con capacidades especiales. Se presenta una encuesta aplicada a personas involucradas a través del cual se identifica las necesidades.

Tactile technology is being used in different areas, however, for the adoption in the educational field and especially in the education of students with cognitive impairments, physical, autism, Down syndrome and deaf has not been used despite the many advantages it has. The objective is to implement a software based on touch screens for teaching students with special abilities of the educational unit for the deaf and the special education institute of Ibarra, Ecuador in order to facilitate teaching both in the classroom and at home. The software will improve the learning of students with special abilities. A survey applied to the people involved is presented through which the needs are identified.
