GONZALEZ JIMENEZ, Oscar Alejandro; GOITIZOLO, Carlos Manuel Martínez y OLMO, Yaneláin Martínez. The elderly adult chair and its integration with local institutions. Conrado [online]. 2021, vol.17, n.82, pp. 223-229. Epub 02-Oct-2021. ISSN 1990-8644.
The teachers who worked in the Senior Adult Chair at the Cruces Municipal University Center achieved the integration of these classrooms to the different institutions of the town in terms of the work that they must develop with the elderly, the support that is needed to take it to out and a thorough understanding of the importance, need and occupation of this sector of society that suffers the unjustifiable neglect of the population, in which the family is not excluded in some cases. This was possible due to the dispersion that existed regarding the care of the elderly. For this, a series of systematic activities were organized in which institutions such as culture, INDER, health, among others, were involved every day. In this way, a media promotion began informing the events and news in which they participated. Also the creation of a radio program on the Local Station, with topics related to the elderly and interviews with personalities of the municipality of the third age in which they told the feats they did during their career, which did not necessarily have to be extraordinary. It was achieved that in each broadcast, in each class and meeting, the grandparents were truly unidentified. The inclusion of the whole family was achieved, who participated in many of the educational and recreational activities organized by the CUAM students themselves.
