Oropharyngeal cancer affects the world population, approximately 100,000 people annually. The objective of this article is to determine the level of knowledge regarding the human papillomavirus associated with oropharyngeal cancer of ninth and tenth semester students of dentistry at the Universidad Regional Autónoma de Los Andes of the academic period October 2020-March 2021. A questionnaire of 15 questions was applied to 84 dental students who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results obtained on the level of knowledge of the students about HPV-associated oropharyngeal cancer are regular since the average is 38.94%.
