For a long time the relevance or not of the teaching of philosophy in schools has been subject to theoretical and methodological discussion. Its presence in the curriculum of this subject focused on critical analysis, above all, due to the ambivalence with which its formative relevance is legitimized. The studies developed within the framework of the doctoral project Analysis of the contents of philosophy taught by teachers to students of grade 10 and 11 of the municipal educational institutions of Pasto according to the provisions of Document No. 14 Pedagogical Orientations for Philosophy in Secondary Education has confirmed that the regulatory framework establishes some basic guidelines for the design of study plans and programs, but that each educational institution makes its adaptations based on the dilemmas faced by teachers and students. In order to identify the regularities and trends in this topic, a study is carried out to systematize the experiences that are carried out in the secondary schools of Pasto, Colombia. Based on didactic analysis criteria (objective, content, methodologies), the challenges are also presented that, from research and teaching, should become the axis of new reflections and proposals.
