In the analysis carried out on the teaching of Cuban History, the criteria on the relevance and significance of the link with local history are combined. Consequently, the methodological work of the discipline History of Cuba that is taught in the career Marxism Leninism and History has been perfected; regarding the teaching of local history. The treatment of the historical region concept from an integrative approach, made possible the strengthening of integrative analyzes in the economic, political, social and cultural order to contribute to a better contextualization of the contents referring to the locality. In order to systematize the theoretical foundations in this regard, the following theoretical level methods were used: logical historical, analysis and synthesis and induction and deduction, supported by the analysis of documents for the study of programs, proposals, activity systems and methodologies that served as theoretical references, which allowed determining their main contributions and limitations, as a basis for the analyzes carried out. This work was proposed to systematize the experiences obtained from the Sociocultural Contextualization of Educational Processes project, to guide the work of education professionals in the area of ​​Social Sciences in the treatment of regional problems.
