Organizational culture and leadership styles are based on the performance of those who make up the organizations, which allow organizations to be competitive and different from each other. The objective of the study was to identify the level of knowledge about organizational culture and leadership styles in undergraduate students of tourism at a private university in Lima. The study focused on a quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 72 interns of both genders, 36 women (50%) and 36 men (50%), to whom two online questionnaires were applied. The results showed that the university interns have a medium and low level of knowledge about organizational culture, they do not know most of the values and norms that identify the company, and a medium-high level of knowledge and adoption of leadership styles in women transformational and transactional leadership, in men moderate and low transactional and laissez faire styles. Therefore, the intern should be inserted for much longer in the professional practices so that he/she can acquire knowledge and skills to face organizational life.
