Resilience studies are becoming increasingly popular in the face of the worsening of socio-environmental problems throughout the planet. Hence, the territorial project "Study of socio-ecological resilience against climate change in coastal communities of the province of Cienfuegos" (RESOCC), understands this term as a multidisciplinary approach that seeks to integrate orientations and contributions from different sciences to establish models of analysis, interpretation and intervention to achieve better individual and group results in different contexts. The research problem to be solved lies in the need to promote and strengthen socio-ecological resilience against the effects of climate change in coastal communities in the province of Cienfuegos due to the low social perception of environmental risk. Among the results to which they aspire are the conceptual and methodological foundation of social perception and resilience to climate change; the temporal, spatial and gender-focused characterization of the coastal communities of the territory and the carrying out of studies on social perception and resilience to climate change; as well as the development of mechanisms and tools for social communication of science that allow greater public participation in coastal community contexts.
