The contemporary society requires the formation of pertinent professionals with the social demands, in the case of the profession of the Program of Nursing takes more importance with such a demand solving the problems of the professional acting with quality and social responsibility, it demands a systematic effort to facilitate the improvement of the formative processes in the institutions of higher education for the professional exercise. The study of the complexities of the professional formation leads to meditate on the teaching methods that at the present time are used for the improvement of the formation of these professionals, what facilitates the solution of problems and it contributes to the protagonism of faculty and students in the orientation of the process of professional formation at the present time. The objective of the present work is to meditate about the necessity of using active methods in the graduate's formation in Nursing. Its importance lies on systematizing some experiences of the scientific bibliography consulted with the purpose of contributing to the changes in the Nursing student's formation like an alternative for an agreement in learning with the context in which they have to act when they graduate.
