DAVILA MORAN, Roberto Carlos et al. Teaching digital competence and information and communication technologies in university professors. Conrado [online]. 2023, vol.19, n.90, pp. 146-156. Epub 27-Feb-2023. ISSN 1990-8644.
This study aimed to determine the relationship between digital teaching competence and information and communication technologies in university professors. It was developed under the quantitative approach, with a non-experimental design, basic type and correlational level. The population was 128 teachers from a private university in Peru, the population being small and accessible, the 128 teachers were taken into account as a sample, therefore, the sampling was census. The technique to collect the data was the survey and the instrument the questionnaire, which were validated by expert judgment, reliability was established with the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient through a pilot test on a sample with similar characteristics. The results showed that both variables reached the level in process with 63% in teaching digital competence and 70% in ICT. Concluding that there is a high direct relationship between both variables, demonstrated with Rho = 0.764 and p-value = 0.000 < 0.05, that is, by increasing the level of digital teaching competence, the level of information and communication technologies in university teachers will increase.
