Learning aimed at raising awareness about disability can be done through the use of films based on real events. The objective of the work is to implement audiovisual media as a didactic resource to achieve meaningful learning by modeling the awareness of disability in students of social careers. The methodology used was the qualitative one for the purpose of the research to transform the reality regarding the worldview of this type of students towards disability. The fundamental results in this work allow us to better understand the usefulness of the films within the teaching-learning process, it has been shown that it is of interest to analyze aspects in the films such as: the context, the interpersonal relationships of the characters, the condition of health of the person or persons with disabilities, problematic situations, positive and negative attitudes, the barriers they face, the school environment, and technical aids. It can be concluded that the guarantee of a quality and inclusive education is given by laws, where the correct treatment of stereotypes, prejudices, barriers and negative attitudes towards disability will allow us to have a more just and inclusive society. The films facilitate the dynamization of the chair, appropriation of positive values ​​and other sociocultural aspects that must be modeled by human beings.
