The university has a privileged role in the process of management and reduction of disaster risk and vulnerability, actively participates in the training and improvement of human resources in dissimilar branches of knowledge, develops research projects focused on permanent training and systematic updating of university graduates from the organizational forms of professional improvement such as: course, training, diploma, master's degree and doctorate. Thematic risk and vulnerability management of high social value is not sufficiently prioritized in university curricula, there is little bibliography for teachers on the subject, with the purpose of building institutions that are better prepared, more resilient and capable of facing natural disasters., it is considered a necessity to prepare teachers on content on the subject in order for it to be incorporated into the teaching-learning process (PEA), for which it states as an objective. Propose a professional development course in risk management and vulnerability to natural disasters to mitigate climate change, theoretical level methods such as analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, historical-logical, and empirical level survey modeling were used.
