CASTILLO ORTEGA, Yonimiler; PALAGUACHI MONTESDEOCA, Marco Ivan  y  BANEGAS CAMPOVERDE, Christian Mauricio. Associativity as a determinant in delinquency rate. Experience from the economics career of UCACUE. Conrado [online]. 2023, vol.19, n.90, pp. 336-347.  Epub 27-Feb-2023. ISSN 1990-8644.

The present work shows the importance of research as a way to improve professional training from the joint work of students and teachers of the economics career of the Catholic University of Cuenca in the participation of research processes. For this, a study was developed to determine the influence of the associativity on the delinquency rate of the “Cooperativa Jardín Azuayo”. For this purpose, the database provided by the Cooperative, was used, where the variables of associativity, delinquency, age, spouse's income, level of education, sex, area of residence, and member's income were considered. With the logit model, it was determined that the level of education, age, and income of the member and spouse had a negative impact on delinquency. On the other hand, the variables of associativity, area of residence, and marital status have a positive probability of affecting a client's delinquency. It is concluded that associativity is related to credit delinquency in the “Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Jardin Azuayo”; a positive impact was obtained on the probability of being in delinquency if a client is in associativity.
