The objective of the work focuses on developing a model for the self-regulation of learning, in the students of the Industrial Engineering in Cuban universities, structured in objectives, principles, dimensions and indicators and a methodology for its application from the stages of diagnosis, evaluation and control. Its application includes the construction and validation of a tool that allows diagnosing the process, associated with the determination of a global, individual and collective indicator, which facilitates a systematic self-evaluation in students. Its implementation throughout, contributes to determine the potentialities and limitations of the educational teaching process and propose actions aimed at its improvement. The results of the study allow us to point out that the process of self-regulation of learning constitutes an effective form of teaching as an effective and proven practice that allows the improvement of the training process as a whole.
