The performance of the municipal directors of education constitutes a topic of great need and topicality for the Ministry of Education, in correspondence with the pressing educational needs of the present and the future of the Cuban nation, contained in the National Plan for Social Economic Development until 2030. (PNDES) and expressed in the objectives and measurement indicators contemplated in the project "Continuous Improvement of the General Education System" that was approved as part of the Program "Access and quality of social services", in the Macroprogram "Human development, equity and social justice”. Consequently, as a result of the research that is carried out, a performance model of municipal education directors is presented that aspires to the training of highly prepared, creative, committed managers, with a holistic vision of the social and economic problems facing the country. , the province, the municipality and each popular council, as a determining condition to achieve the comprehensive training of children, adolescents and young people in the context of the III Improvement of the National Education System.
