The general objective of the study was to analyze the implementation of a virtual assistant for undergraduate students of a Peruvian university. The specific objectives were: to analyze the response time of the virtual assistant for undergraduate students of a Peruvian university; to evaluate the efficiency of the virtual assistant for the undergraduate students of a Peruvian university and to check the perception about the virtual assistant for the undergraduate students of a Peruvian university. The research had a quantitative approach, non-experimental design and descriptive level. The population consisted of 3,228 students from a Peruvian university. The sample was 78 students from the industrial engineering faculty of a Peruvian university. The questionnaire was designed with 18 questions, each with five response options, using a Likert-type scale. The validity of the questionnaire was verified through the judgment of three experts, being Applicable and the Cronbach's Alpha reliability coefficient was α=0.83. The questionnaires were sent by email and WhatsApp. The results of the descriptive analysis reveal that the implementation of a virtual assistant in a Peruvian university has an adequate level, since it improves interaction and access to information by students.
