La suspensión de la patria potestad por abandono injustificado es una medida legal excepcional que se adopta en casos de extrema gravedad, en donde el progenitor incumple de manera deliberada e injustificada sus obligaciones parentales. La decisión de suspender la patria potestad debe estar sustentada en pruebas objetivas, claras y contundentes, que demuestren el abandono del menor y la imposibilidad de restablecer la relación paterno-filial. Por tanto, el presente estudio tiene como objetivo proponer estrategias pedagógicas para educar y sensibilizar a la sociedad sobre la importancia de contribuir a la protección de los derechos de los menores y la relación paterno-filial. Todo ello con el fin de brindar una comprensión clara y completa de los procesos legales relacionados con la suspensión de la patria potestad por abandono injustificado, con el fin de garantizar la protección de los lazos familiares y el interés superior del menor. Para ello, se utilizó un enfoque cualitativo y analítico, a partir de la investigación bibliográfica para identificar los criterios legales y jurisprudenciales para la suspensión de la patria potestad por abandono injustificado. Además, se analizan los impactos que puede tener la suspensión de la patria potestad en la vida del menor y su entorno familiar.

The suspension of parental authority for unjustified abandonment is an exceptional legal measure that is adopted in extremely serious cases, where the parent deliberately and unjustifiably fails to comply with their parental obligations. The decision to suspend parental authority must be supported by objective, clear and conclusive evidence that demonstrates the abandonment of the minor and the impossibility of restoring the parent-child relationship. Therefore, the present study aims to provide a clear and complete understanding of the legal processes related to the suspension of parental authority due to unjustified abandonment, in order to guarantee the protection of family ties and the best interests of the minor. For this, a qualitative and analytical approach was used, based on bibliographic research to identify the legal and jurisprudential criteria for the suspension of parental authority due to unjustified abandonment. In addition, the impacts that the suspension of parental authority may have on the life of the minor and his family environment are analyzed. With this, pedagogical strategies are proposed to educate and sensitize society about the importance of contributing to the protection of the rights of minors and the parent-child relationship.
