The present investigation makes an assessment of the actions carried out by the Center of Resources for Learning and Research of the University of Cienfuegos within the framework of the Online Information Literacy project in university students of the Rodas Municipal University Center through the use of WhatsApp. It is based on the perspective of the qualitative paradigm, the documentary analysis is carried out to establish the referential framework and a questionnaire is applied to the students to know the degree of satisfaction with the training activities carried out during the year 2022. The project activities were organized in three blocks, segmented into various activities according to the type of informational competence. In general, WhatsApp has allowed the development of skills for information processing and synthesis, as well as creativity in the management of collaborative tasks and investigative projects. The sections with the highest degree of satisfaction were Specific tools for academic and scientific information with 100%, and Presentation of APA Bibliographic Standards 7th Edition with 87%. In general, the evaluation was positive, which favors the continuity of the service and its constant improvement.
