Cuban universities prioritize the improvement of management in the base link in the search for the fulfillment of their objectives, for this they need to apply appropriate approaches for this purpose. The approach to processes as a management method contributes to improving the results, hence the relevance of using process management in the university community of the academic year together with the advantages of this with respect to the current functional approach that is presented in Higher Education. . The objective of the research is to analyze the management of the academic year with a process approach. For this, a conceptual analysis of the management in the academic year is carried out and the process is designed through the map, the deployment, the flowchart, the indicators and the schedule. Empirical methods such as observation, interviews, surveys and document review were also used.
