This article addresses the impact of the Labor Education class from the postgraduate course in primary education, included in the subsystem of General Polytechnic and Labor Education. It proposes as a fundamental objective to provide a system of knowledge, skills and polytechnic and labor habits, applicable to certain areas of production and services, to the acquisition of standards of conduct and social coexistence. The experience was based on the postgraduate course given to education professionals of the territory for their professionalization, which made it possible to provide them with the necessary tools to improve the teaching-learning process of the Labor Education subject at the primary level. The postgraduate course propitiated from the actions undertaken a gradual and ascending process, which allowed significant changes in the process of this subject, allowing them to transmit the acquired experiences to other teachers. In order to ascertain the main problems faced today by the teaching of Labor Education in elementary schools, we started from the initial verification and the application of instruments such as surveys to teachers and students, interviews, questionnaires; as well as classroom observation, which revealed the main difficulties in question. This experience is conceived to foster values of industriousness, collectivism, solidarity, love for work and workers, as well as to establish links based on the need to provide solutions to problems in daily life, promoting know-how and how to do it, considering their contribution to the benefit of Cuban society in general.
