The work with the map constitutes the method for excellence of teaching learning of Geography. In the meantime, a significant part of the teachers of geography they lack knowledge and of an orientation methodological made suitable to use it at his classrooms, and specially, in his pupil’s environmental education. The present article has the objective to socialize the basics that guide the teachers of Geographic, in the action of work with the map like method to develop environmental education in pupils in the process of teaching - learning of Geography, like part of the results of the project Perfecting of the methodology and system of developmental educational environmental activities in Education Cuban. Results obtained at the courses of post grade in mastery in geographic education and in preparations the methodological on work with the map evidence his effectiveness in the transformation of the conceptions of Geographic’s teachers than they participate of her and his consequent influence shown in pupils’ learning.
