The sciences reflect the systems of knowledge of the nature, the society and the thinking. The study of these processes has a high degree of complexity and depth in the research activity. In the current paper some results of the authors are exposed in the direction of the teaching and learning process of the Algebra in the professor's formation of Mathematics, those results are related with the stimulation of the development of the general thought and one in their specific ways of being expressed, it has as objective: to assess the actions that can be implemented from a didactic strategy in the development of the numerical thinking.
