Science exerts an influence on nature, on itself and on daily life, which is why scientific knowledge and the place of science and technology in culture have changed, new type of work instruments has been created, revolutionized daily life, the natural environment is transformed on a planetary scale and, as a consequence of all this, new cognitive, ethical and moral problems arise. The foregoing leads to declare as an objective in this article: to reveal the theoretical-methodological perspective that supports education in values ​​with professional orientation in pedagogical training, based on a qualitative, explanatory and non-experimental study. It projects the analysis of the previous treatment to the basic nuclei of the subject, the precision of its main problems in the context of contemporary scientific-technological development and the transformations in social relations, with emphasis on education in values, as well as the demands to the preparation of university professors of the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. The bases are obtained to conceive the intervention that is revealed in other investigative stages, from theoretical and empirical inquiries.
