Resumen

RICARDO, Pérez Hernández et al. Results of different alternatives of handling of the surface irrigation technician in the maradol roja papaya crop with extra dense plantation mark. Rev Cie Téc Agr [online]. 2010, vol.19, n.3, pp.17-22. ISSN 2071-0054.

The objective of this work was the realization of a study for different water handlings in the surface irrigation technician, means of field test in the reference crop. The flow of better behaivor for the continuos flow watering with the open furrows variant of large 130 m , was 1,56 L·s-1, with application efficiency of 61,8%, storage efficiency of 97% and distribution 82,6%. The lost for superficial glide and deep percolation were of 25,2% and 13,0% of the applied water volume, respectively. For the irrigation variant for closed furrows with this flow, increments of the application and distribution efficiencies were obtained, of 3,2% and 11,4% respectively, as well as, an additional total saving of the water and fuel resources of 232,8 peso·year-1 , overcoming to the watering by opened furrows. The intermittent irrigation variant or for pulses with 4 cycles of variable times, allowed to achieve an application efficiency of 85%, with a total saving of water and fuel of 911.78 peso·year-1 , allowing a decrease of 24,37% of the total volume of given water per produced ton.
