Abstract
ANTONIO PADILLA CAMBARA, Tomás; GARCIA ALVAREZ, Nancy and PEREZ DUARTE, Wilfredo. Physicochemical and bacteriology characterization, in two times of the year, Quiscab river sub basin at Guatemala. Rev Cie Téc Agr [online]. 2010, vol.19, n.3, pp. 43-46. ISSN 2071-0054.
The economical, social and ecological relevance of Atitlán Lake basin, the water glass most important of Guatemala, gave a reason to propose a research work about Quiscab river sub basin, considered as their principal tributary. It began by a physicochemical and bacteriology characterization in two moments: rain and dry seasons. Water samples were taken in different points, previously selected, starting from the existence of pollution sources of different kinds; these samples were tested and its results were compared with Guatemala standard values in order to estimate quality water. The physicochemical and bacteriology characterization of the sub basin allowed the determination of the possible water usage in both seasons.
Keywords : water quality; time of sample; pollution.
