QUINTANA ECHEVARRIA, Reinier; DOMINGUEZ VENTO, Calixto; RUIZ PEREZ, Maria E  y  DIAZ SUAREZ, Jorge. Determination of the soil traslocation by tillage with animal power. Rev Cie Téc Agr [online]. 2011, vol.20, n.1, pp.31-35. ISSN 2071-0054.

Soil redistribution in slopes due tillage practices represents a high intensity degradation and erosion processes of the soil. In the agricultural areas of the Cuyaguateje river watershed, animals are the main power source for the agricultural work. The study was carried out in plots where three experiments were made:1) farming with dumped plough in contour (c); 2) perpendicular rake to the contour (r) and 3) tillage in the direction and on the opposite direction in relation with the slope(af y c). In all cases tracers were used to measure the soil translocation and the erosion by tillage. It was observed that for each plot there is a trend that soil move along the slope, nevertheless if all the plots are considered, this trend disappears due the different initial soil conditions observed along the slope. Some factors that influenced in these results were:1) The presence of weeds altered the tracers movement in some segments of the slope; 2) Tillage depth didn't keep constant during all the farming.

Palabras clave : translocation; erosion; slope.
