Abstract

Centers in charge of mechanization services and technical assistance to the farmers are been created in every Cuban municipality. They should include tractors, combines, and some other agricultural machinery as well as repair and maintenance workshops. Each Center will be called an Integral Unit for Technical Services subordinated to the Agricultural Municipal Enterprise. For the organization of these Units it was necessary to carry out an availability study of workshops, equipment, machinery, and mechanization personal in the agricultural enterprises and other productive entities in every municipalities of the country, since they will be the basic core of the new system. The creation of these units, in some selected municipalities, is aimed at evaluating the results and from these experiences, to plan measures to extend their creation to the whole country.
