The technical, agrotechnical and exploitative exigencies to be accomplished by the new tractors for Cuban greenhouses were determined, specially regarding its possibilities of aggregation with the implements and machines of possible use, dimensional parameters of the installations, energetic efficiency, market analysis, etc. Some types of tractors were acquired and tested in field conditions in accordance with such exigencies and, being selected two types of energetic sources: a motocultor and a low power tractor, both already in a stage of generalization.
