Abstract

RODRIGUEZ GARCIA, Manuel Reinaldo  and  PUIG ESTRADA, Omar. Hydraulic behaviour of the superficial and sub superficial drip irrigation system. Rev Cie Téc Agr [online]. 2011, vol.20, n.4, pp.36-41. ISSN 2071-0054.

For their evaluation the irrigation system was mounted with a totally randomized experimental design, with four treatments, one with superficial drip irrigation and three with sub superficial drip irrigation with emitters buried to 15, 30 and 45 centimeters deep. Were carried out laboratory and field evaluations of the main hydraulic parameters of the system, to the beginning of the first irrigation campaign and the end of third year, being obtained in the superficial treatment an appreciable decrease of the emitter half flow (qmed), an increase of the deviation of this flow with relationship to the nominal flow (Dqnom) and  increase of the variation coefficient for obstruction (CVobt) that allows to infer an increase of the emitter obstruction due to precipitate of carbonate of calcium, phosphates and hidróxidos that are formed to the exit from the emitter when entering in direct contact with the atmospheric agents. The Statistical Coefficient of Uniformity (CUEst) and the Coefficient of Uniformity of the lowest 4th (CU25), the values obtained for this index were always high, being understood between 97 and 98%.

Keywords : evaluation irrigation system; Coefficient of Uniformity; emitter obstruction.
