This study is about the hydrogeological conditions to aquifer in the Chimaltenango, valley, Guatemala. This is unconfined aquifer in pyroclastic deposits and the coefficients of storage go from 0,1 to 0,2. The tansmisivity to the aquifer go from 250 to 350 m²/day. A potential recharge by precipitation of 13 million m³/year is considered. The potential of groundwater is positive and an integrated groundwater resources management is necessary to guarantee the rational use and future sostenability in the valley.
