The modification of the combined scarifier C 101 resulted in a new approach in the heavy clayey soils' preparation in the north of Villa Clara. A research was carried out in the primary labor, also called soil breaking, with the objective of evaluating some parameters of labor quality of three plows (C 101M, AT-90 and M 250) in surfaces with mounds and vegetables residues covering. The results suggested that the employment of the located primary tillage with the C 101M under those conditions showed better indexes of labor quality as regards the total one with the Multi-plow M 250 and the Disks-plow AT-90, due to the greater stability in the work depth and soil fragmentation. As to this factor, in the case of the C 101M, clods between 50 and 100 mm prevailed with 21%. According to the studied parameters about labor quality, the use of the located primary tillage with the C 101M in the conditions aforementioned is recommended.
