Abstract

TORNES OLIVERA, Norge; BROWN MANRIQUE, Oscar; GOMEZ MASJUAN, Yarisbel  and  GUERRERO ALEGA, Arnaldo Manuel. Physic and economy maximization of water irrigation on dry bean crop production. Rev Cie Téc Agr [online]. 2016, vol.25, n.2, pp.35-38. ISSN 2071-0054.

The research was developed among the months of November 2013 to March 2014 with the objective to maximize the physical and economic levels of use of water in the production of the bean by means of the simulation of the yields with the model AquaCrop. The area of the investigation belongs to the UBPC Grito de Yara, which is located at the 20º 25' N, 760 53' W, with a height of 6 m over sea level. A total of 7 irrigations were carried out. The variety Delicia 360 was sowed on December 20th with a spacing of plantation of 0.5 x 0.8 m. Once gauged the model AquaCrop, were simulated the yields of the bean under different low levels of available water to obtain the production function with which was carried out the physical and economic maximization of the water. The volume of water that guarantees a physical maximum is of 2 244.37 m3·ha-1 for the obtaining of yields of 2 406.51 kg·ha-1. The volume of water that guarantees the economic maximum is of 2 438.06 m3·ha-1 with a gain of 47 010.38 $·ha-1

Keywords : water; simulation of the yield.
