CASTELLANOS-SERRANO, Luis Tonatiuh et al. Spatial environment design in agricultural information systems with Unity XR. Rev Cie Téc Agr [online]. 2025, vol.34 Epub 01-Abr-2025. ISSN 2071-0054.
Virtual Reality (VR) technologies aim to develop immersive or mixed spatial environments to adapt tasks ranging from video games to scientific research applications, in the topic of digital agriculture the importance of the metaverse in the processes of agronomy has put this sector in the spotlight, glimpsing future results that could revolutionize agriculture 5.0. The requirements of the application are explained based on an "APK" compatible with the Meta Horizon operating system for Meta Quest viewers, which was developed on the Unity VR CORE platform and the XR Interaction Toolkit Plug-ins, showing the architecture of the spatial environment and the interconnection layers, a class diagram is used to explain the composition of the programming structure used. The implementation strategy of the conceptual models is discussed through the formats of sequence diagram, usage and the logical scheme of the database, which were used to trace the layout of the project and thus the three-dimensional construction of the spatial environment in Unity, giving as evidence real-time images with the Oculus Meta Quest 2 interface in the interactivity modes with Touch controls and the Hand Tracking mode. The importance of spatial ecosystems in the metaverse oriented to information systems in digital agriculture is addressed and the work to follow that awaits us in terms of improving the Agroverse.
