Within the context of the present Cuban economic-financial transformations, it is important to keep in mind the need the Economic Sciences´ professionals, in general, and those of the Accountability and Finance, in particular, master the financial management techniques which contribute to the entrepreneurial system efficiency. Such techniques derive themselves of the contemporary financial theory. Within this context, it is useful to examine its content, with its successes and those aspects that, even in the context in which they have been created, have to be solved. Such has been the aim of the present article. This doctrine´s achieved aspects and deficiencies are correspondingly exposed, and in the last pages, there appears a brief consideration upon their usefulness in the national context.
