Abstract

FRANCH LEON, Katia. Knowledge as Social Innovation Catalyst: An Alternative of Social Development in Cuba. Cofin [online]. 2017, vol.11, n.1, pp.1-12. ISSN 2073-6061.

The new scene where Cuba is developing today demands the searching for creative and feasible solutions that guarantee our country sustainable development. This entails a paradigmatic change in the way of thinking about the new management and performance methods. Alternatives which are being carried out, promote the ideal use and exploitation of knowledge, the use of the intrinsic knowledge and action of people in favor of social innovations that respond to the needs of the context and, at a big scale, contribute to the sustainability required by the new Cuban economic model. In this respect, this paper invites you to think about how knowledge becomes a catalyst of social innovation and promotes the local development in Cuba.

Keywords : management methods,; innovations,; new scene,; reflection..
