Abstract

Innovation plays a central role in today's globalized world where development, changes, improvements, and competitiveness are important factors mainly in agriculture which is of the utmost importance to a country's progress, and therefore its proper management is top of the agenda of many organizations from both developed and developing countries. This paper examines main characteristics of innovation management, with emphasis being put on the ones of agricultural innovation management. Finally, it presents the results of a diagnosis identifying major irregularities discovered in agricultural innovation managed by a Science and Technology Innovation entity from the province of Mayabeque, Cuba.
