The aim of this paper is to present a theoretical framework about costs by project and their relation to dredging costs. It starts from the poor treatment this activity has had national and internationally due to its characteristics. In this sense, a bibliographical review was carried out which includes worldly known classical authors, as well as others who have contributed recently. This allows giving criteria, both in favor and against their opinions, since the Cuban academic view.
