MARTIN BARROSO, Ariel Manuel; LEYVA FERREIRO, Grisell; RIOS OBREGON, Jorge Manuel  y  MEDINILLA NAPOLES, Fernando. Multi-criteria Evaluation of Renewable Energy Projects in Sancti Spiritus, Cuba. Cofin [online]. 2018, vol.12, n.2, pp.18-34. ISSN 2073-6061.

In this article are presented the results of the multi-criteria evaluation carried out in two renewable energy investments in the Cuban province of Sancti Spíritus, aimed at selecting the most suitable technology. According to the potential of the territory, among the most attractive options are solar photovoltaic and bioenergetics. The methodology used is based on the documentary review, with emphasis on the most currently appropriate theoretical-methodological conceptions, in the researches consulted, on the inclusion of the social cost of energy in the economic dimension, an aspect that influences the novelty of the study, and in the use of the multi-criteria technique "Hierarchical Analytical Process". This alternative vision of the investment projects´ evaluation allowed to extend the value process to the socioeconomic field and its relation with sustainable development.

Palabras clave : renewable sources; investment; Hierarchical Analytical Process.
