Economic and financial analysis using indicators is useful to make a diagnosis of the situation of companies, improve their performance, and make good decisions. Among economic policies and strategies is planning which requires a thorough knowledge of the state of sectors. This information is collected in sectorial data. In Cuba, there is no sectorial information on any economic activity, hence the necessity for and relevance of this research. This suggests comparison and contrast patterns for manufacturing industry, which contribute to financial planning and analysis. The research is aimed at describing the selected activity-based economic indicators and their formulae, and determining sectoral comparison patterns and their statistical validation.
