This paper examines the relations between finance as a science, as an applied technology, and social development, and claims that they determine each other. Additionally, it studies the evolution of finance from its emergence as part of accounting to the fifties when it became a science. Such theoretical methods of analysis as historical-logical, analytic-synthetic, inductive-deductive, as well as the method based on dialectical materialism were used.
