A Non-Agricultural Cooperative engaged in waste recycling, located in the municipality of San José de las Lajas, province of Mayabeque, Cuba, has gotten results since its establishment. However, factors which directly influence its management, and strategic planning tools for it to face a changing environment and solve its problems have not been studied yet, by adopting a strategic approach. The aim of this research is to suggest strategic actions which will contribute to its improved management. It will be achieved by making a strategic diagnosis. Information relevant to the research will be gathered through document analysis, dialogs, direct observation, semi-structured interviews to individuals, and working sessions with members and community actors.
