This article provides an overview of the use of automated accounting systems in entities based on the results obtained from the analysis of nine accounting systems in 57 entities during the years 2017, 2018 and the first quarter of 2019. This view may be part of the references to be considered by the entities when implementing a new system or updating renewed versions of the one they already have. Information is provided on the situation presented by the different stages through which a system passes, as well as good practices that have been incorporated by the entities in their use.
