Results: aspects that are of little knowledge for the Cuban teaching doctors who are responsible with the teaching of the Family and Community Medicine postgraduate course were selected in the normative documents revised, which are necessary for the work that the graduates of the second cohort will carry out; it was stated that the specialists in Comprehensive General Medicine are predominant, most of them have the teaching rank of Assistant professors and more than 10 years of post registration experience. An induction course was designed whose objectives and contents contribute to eradicate the deficiencies found. Conclusions: the designed course facilitates the steady formation and updating of the contents what strengthens the competences of the professors.
