FERNANDEZ MORERA, María Esther; MIGUEL LEAL, Wilfredo y GONZALEZ REYES, Juan Carlos. The socio-cultural factors that influence the cultural activity of the amateur movement in the disabled people associations. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2015, vol.7, n.2, pp.122-127. ISSN 2218-3620.
An analysis of the socio-cultural factors influencing the cultural activities of the Amateur Movement in the Association of Disabled People in Palmira municipality was developed taking as a basis a theorization on the topic. The theorization was based on a reflective analysis and a socio-cultural perspective, which takes into account the cultural policy and generalities that characterize the cultural institution Casa de la Cultura. The following factors were considered for this study: socio-cultural practices, social imaginary and social representations, which strengthened the organization and social relationships involved in the study. This paper was considered a contribution that helps increasing the working relationships amongst the Municipal University Center (CUM), the Municipal Culture institution and the Disabled People Associations in the municipality. This work also allowed these institutions to complement each other and be mutually supportive, which offers the territory visibility from the projections of the University Knowledge Management (GUCID) perspective.
