This paper describes the skills treatment as cognitive and instrumental components in the individual´s performance. These components have been widely studied in the educational field to strengthen the quality of the educational process, and to teach students from the university community to establish proper communication. These skills can be treated through different organization ways of the Teaching Learning Process. It can be said that communication skills are essential to improve relations in the different contexts students take part in, such as social institutions, interpersonal relationships with classmates or teachers, family, community and other professionals.
