Resumen

JIMENEZ GONZALEZ, Jorge Félix; DIAZ MEDINA, Raiko  y  ALVAREZ TARTABULL, Amed Jazán. Dance therapy program and its impact on stress vulnerability. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2015, vol.7, n.3, pp.79-87. ISSN 2218-3620.

In this study, the impact of a dance therapy program in the improvement of the level of vulnerability to stress is assessed. The experience was carried out in the adult female population living in the buildings of the Army at Hermanas Gralt II distribution in Cienfuegos province, which has a population of 39 people. In order to achieve this purpose, a pre-experimental design with pre and post test was selected. The program was applied to a sample of 35 females, performing comparisons between pre- test and post-test processes, which allowed to assess the changes they experienced. Among the most outstanding results achieved throughout the various stages of the research process we can find:  the low levels of satisfaction of the sample under study towards the activities they practiced because of a poor relationship with their likes and preferences before the implementation of the program, as well as the improvement of vulnerability to stress levels of adult females, after  the implementation of the program was finished.

Palabras clave : Aerobic; dance therapy; stress.
