At the present the Organic Law of Ecuador (LOESIN in Spanish) rules in the country since October 2012 as one of the instruments to produce changes in Higher Education and in the rest of the educational levels. Thus, in this work the foundations of theory-practice relationship are analyzed within the frame of the groups of subjects related to Operations Management in the Enterprise Management Major. This analysis is done according to specialized literature and the point of view of the author in relation to the different trends about the teaching of this subject at national and international levels, the integration of the academic and professional components in the teaching-learning process in the formation of Enterprise Managers in Ecuador and the implications of the theory and practice in this specialty.
