Organic production certifications and fair trade which keep an organization on the market, is not something easily achieved. This work was directed to highlight the joint efforts of an organization which has endured overcoming setbacks of all kinds, because it has preserved the values and principles that gave origin. Besides growing in their personal and economic formation through training and workshops, productive infrastructure, access to loans from the state, NGOs, associations of saving and credit, commercialization and export of banana fresh fruit, banana puree, cocoa derivatives and other basic products which enhance food and commodity basket of its associates. It is the Regional Union of peasant Organizations of the Coast known by its acronym in Spanish UROCAL. To do this, historical theoretical methods of documentary analysis, as well as empirical interviews with leaders and associates were used, looking for motivation in small and middle independent banana producers, who today suffer from lack of technology and instability on their product prices, among others, to join in cooperatives and recognize the benefits it represents for market position, both nationally and internationally.
